Here are some 54 mm Cowboy conversions that I made and painted one solid color. There are some stock figures mixed in there also. I did another 25 more that I'll post another time.

Good stuff!
I've been pondering if I should scrounge the interwebs for Airfix 54mm Wild West figures. You know, for my son… ;)

The last batch looks like Atlantic figures -I didn't know they did 54mm!

Excellent work, nevinsrip! Old West gunfights are made for 54mm. The one hesitation I've had is getting buildings. I'd love to see some of your painted figures and games if you get the chance!

Great stuff – especially like the gals – I need some of them.

Buildings are an issue with 54mm – mainly, you've just got to make 'em. I recently tarted up some I made with plasticard back in the eighties. They're still no more than average but they are serviceable.

Few more:

Here you can see the guy in the middle is an original casting. The horrible fleshtone plastic color is why everyone got painted.
This was a simple conversion. I cut his hand off and replaced it with a hand holding a gun.

The figure on the left was made from the figure on the right with a few replacement parts.

From left to right:

Removed the right hand and pistol from this figure.

Middle figure donated his head.

The far right is the original figure, unpainted

And here you can see that the head was replaced and the hand with the flintlock replaced by a six shooter.
Then painted in Snakebit Leather. Great color for the Old West.

And that's how it done.

Here is a stock figures on the left and the converted the right. I sliced the head off and replaced it with a head that already had a hat on. I then cut the top of the hat on the ground off and replaced it with a small pot from some other figure. Looks like a pot sitting on a platter.
Although the guy holding the gun may need to use that pot, if he's facing Doc Holiday or Billy The Kid.

Agreed. Do post pics when you've painted them up!
