Playing a campaign using Saga's Return of the Wolf. Had the Norman's attacking the Norse-Gaels near Ireland.

Very interesting game. The campaign rules seem to have kept you from fighting until one side was reduced to a warlord and a hearthguard. The victor is usually known long before you reach that point.
The campaign booklet is on my list of things to order.

Yes they did but I still find casualties are difficult to replace. I have doubled the replacements in my games just to keep up. I also have added a rule where a certain number of figures can "fleet up" ( Saga die if you lose and d4 if you win.)
that said, like all SAGA products they are very expensive but very fun.
