The Art of Frank McCarthy. He seems to have worked on every action picture from the 1960's, including many westerns.

IMO, many of his paintings were more exciting than the movies they advertised.

Wow those are all quite excellent. Hard to pick a favorite. I think what makes them especially stand out is the forced perspective, like in this one for the "Green Beret". But all the artwork is gorgeous.
