I've seen 6mm buildings used with 10mm figures and they look good for built up areas.

Yes, my preference is to go down a scale – 3mm for 6mm figures, etc. The exception is 28mm. It depends somewhat on the terrain manufacturer though. GHQ Models buildings suit 6mm figures quite well, for example.

Maybe not quite so tiny as 6mm, but buildings on the small side is good for 10mm, as for other scales, when you want to represent BUAs in a compact way.

Generally 6mm works with 10mm when it comes to terrain …

I play HotT in 15 MM and use 6 MM buildings for a good many of my Strongholds and they work fine.

For years now I've been using 10mm building with my 15mm troops. I've also used 10mm buildings with 28mm troops for our C&C games.

I use 6mm buildings with my 15mm stuff! As long as the buildings are taller than the figures it looks fine.
