……starting new boards, posting new topics, posting ideas for new boards, ideas for new topics, requesting opinions – a storm of Editor posts.

And at the same, urgently pursuing the introduction of TMP4…

Incredible industry.

And your point is. . .?

GonerGonerGoner07 Jan 2017 10:20 a.m. PST

That it might be an idea if the website were to hit the 21st century while we're still in it.

And how long does all that take: a few minutes per day. Get some perspective.

Mars Miniatures07 Jan 2017 11:26 a.m. PST

Ok, this made me chuckle.
Not that Im on anyones side here, but this post is a great example of the internet… 1 positive comment immediately shot down by flak, lol.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP07 Jan 2017 11:30 a.m. PST

Well, that's subjective isn't it: I took the OP as complete sarcasm. If I'm wrong I will certainly apologize.

GarrisonMiniatures07 Jan 2017 11:34 a.m. PST

Admit I took it as sarcasm as well…

15th Hussar07 Jan 2017 11:47 a.m. PST

Sarcasm too, but still liked it.

Hafen von Schlockenberg07 Jan 2017 12:10 p.m. PST

Same for me as Joe.

nazrat07 Jan 2017 12:38 p.m. PST

It's funny… because it's TRUE! 8)=

Hafen von Schlockenberg07 Jan 2017 12:50 p.m. PST

Well,enjoy while you can. . .

15th Hussar07 Jan 2017 1:04 p.m. PST

C'mon, HvS..this may be posted in the wrong arena, but a little poke in the side as a counterpoint to the ongoing conversation…of which you are part; deserves a laugh…and some support!

What's the matter, Colonel Sander's? Chicken???…or just miffed you didn't come up with this yourself!

Pbbbt! grin

Hafen von Schlockenberg07 Jan 2017 1:14 p.m. PST

Not judging--just pointing out the obvious. Does Bill like getting "poked in the side" a lot?

If so, I hope he "enjoys it with fun"!

Moonraker Miniatures07 Jan 2017 1:23 p.m. PST

Does Bill like getting "poked in the side" a lot?

Well, he's not averse to doing a bit of poking himself and not always in the side and not always gentle so I'm sure he'll take it in the spirit in which it's intended. What that spirit is you will decide for yourself.

Ok, so I've decided …no apology required.

Moonraker Miniatures07 Jan 2017 1:55 p.m. PST

no apology required

What a happy coincidence of interest.

Thanks for putting up with me being a Noodge, HvS.

Hafen von Schlockenberg07 Jan 2017 2:10 p.m. PST

Andrew--you left some f's out of "Pbbfft!".

Maybe some h's and s's. too. Depending on regional dialect.

After all, correct usage is the important thing here. . .

I've repeated lobbied for a sarcasm icon

I'm against them.

Using icons/emojis is just an excuse for lazy writing. If you can't make your meaning clear with words, you have problems (& I think sometimes meaning is purposely obscured – the OP – & that's the point).

Hafen von Schlockenberg07 Jan 2017 2:59 p.m. PST

"Noodge"--that's the second word today I had to look up due to TMP. Yiddish. So who knew? (picture accompanying palms up shug).

Oh,the other was "gleek".

Now I have go get some Colonel Sanders--I'm hungry all of a sudden.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP07 Jan 2017 3:01 p.m. PST

"What a happy coincidence of interest."

It's not, as I certainly wasn't expecting you to apologize. You took the time to think, write and post; what you came up with is sarcastic, possibly humorous (to some) on a very small level and of no practical value.

How you spend time is your business.

Moonraker Miniatures07 Jan 2017 5:18 p.m. PST

Everything on this forum is at a very small level and everything on this board (TMP talk) is of no practical value; although if even one person other that its OP finds some amusement in a post, then that's no small, impractical thing in this world.

Thanks for taking the time to join in – I appreciate it.

Incredible industry.

A lot of ideas occur to me while I am programming, so I scribble them down, and when I am on a break, I post them.

Especially if I am working in forum code, as I see a lot of posts and they give me ideas.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP07 Jan 2017 6:23 p.m. PST

"Everything on this forum is at a very small level and everything on this board (TMP talk) is of no practical value…"

That's an interesting statement and obviously your opinion.

If so, why bother posting in the first place?

Moonraker Miniatures08 Jan 2017 8:19 a.m. PST

Thank you General Disaster – I think you "got it". Joes Shop and I are obviously on totally different wavelengths and should agree to pass on by with a curt nod grin

And in answer to Joes Shop's final question – to add to the gaity of nations….!

Doug

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP08 Jan 2017 9:28 a.m. PST

Agreed.
