Here is one of Studio Bergstrom's new J'Guairre line of miniatures, specifically the battleship. I intend for it to be a new class of post-Next Generation Federation warship. My initial thoughts are to say that it was built Post-Dominion War by a more militaristic faction of the Federation council in secret, but that when it was eventually needed due to some civilian political blunders, and war broke out with the Klingons, it made a massive difference in the outcome of the new war. I am thinking of using a medium singularity launcher spinal mount, and say that due to technological breakthroughs enabled by integrating some elements of Dominion technology, that the phasers and advanced screens will use the Miniaturization rules (at higher cost of course). I had considered doubling the mass of the launcher and saying the extra mass consists of more power reactors that enable the ship to fire the weapon every turn without having to coast (not use thrust) for a turn. Not sure about that one, but it's tempting. I plan to have a squadron of 3 of these painted up. They are named after old style Earth battleships (in reality I am running out of decals and had to use what I had…).
