What was the largest wargaming project of 2016 that you didn't finish because you had to take a break? |

Oh, posh! If I gave up on any projects within any given year I would never complete a damn thing. whitphoto … giving up got me a son in short order. Best bad luck to you. |

I have decent sized box of Team Yankee Soviets from the first releases when I was going through the "oooh shiney!" phase of the last incarnation of the Third World War. I scouted out other modern rule sets in addition to Battlefront's and read lots of AAR's and unclassified technical data on Warsaw Pact vehicles and armaments. And then I went to the FLGS. Not a soul was playing. They'll show up here sooner or later when I'm tired of moving them out of the way to get to the Republican Romans…. |

VSF Colonial Japanese. Not because I had to, but because the group I was gaming with was a bit flaky. So I focussed my efforts on things I had a chance of playing, mostly Frostgrave and Star Trek. |

Gates of Antares. I got my Concord figures about 80% painted, then got distracted with Frostgrave, Congo, and new SAGA and DBA armies. I'm hoping to pick it up again in this year. |

Congo. I gathered the rules and a heap of minis, was about to organize them into units and get to work. Then, everything just *stopped*. I think my workbench crashed due to too many pop-up projects. |

El Cid era spain and frostgrave – in the end had to face facts that the former would just never get done, the latter provoked no interest among my gaming group. EBay took them both. |

Too busy winnowing and trashing stuff to give up on any project in 2016. Does retiring from the "Intelligence Community" count? |

Trying to get some of my in-laws to follow basic decorum in playing tabletop wargames (and board games). |

28mm Napoleonics. Added a bunch more Austrians to the already impressive lead pile but in the end analysis the games just weren't that fun. |

"finish", what you mean by finish? |

Not given up, just postponed over the winter – my pulp Newhaven setup. |

Temporarily shelved BattleTech Alpha Strike when they started revamping all the Points Values. Will get back to that one later when I can get back to organising all my companies better. |

Congo. Bought the book which I almost finished reading and organised some forces out of my current collections, but thankfully did not buy anything else. FrostGrave. My mate who got me into this decided to sell off his unpainted collection. I may pick it up from him but it will be as a painting project only. Bolt Action. Started to build a Commando Force but decided that I am never going to get back into the club scene. Also bought an Indian Army Force which is unlikely to be painted for the same reasons. |

Old West trains – life got in the way. Back on the list for 2017 – but life will continue to get in the way. Elderly parents with health issues take a lot of time. |

All of my miniatures. They are still sitting in the basement waiting for when I decide to pick up the itch again. Board and computer wargaming for the foreseeable future. |
