Just been into the works in Leeds and they have the Airfix 1/24th Scale Hurricane (retails £60.00 GBP) for £20.00 GBP

I resisted the temptation to buy one as I still have 1 from last years sale to build ;-)

That is a good price – but I'd never get it built.

I had one for Christmas in 1975. I suspect it was more for my dad than me as it was totally impractical! But it did amuse the old boy for a month or two and introduced me to the exploits of Peter Townsend and Ian Gleed.
Of far more use to me was the Revell 1/32 Spitfire I made a couple of years later; I straffed many a flowerbed-skulking Hun with that.
