I went to Mexico City in November; here are the first batch of pics of the castle. I tried to get some pics that would show what a hard nut this would be to crack. There are also pics that are just meant to show the opulence of the palace, and rooms that were used by Max and Carlotta.

I've got a butt load of pics of Max's carriage coming up soon.

I don't think the link works. It just defaults to my pictures on Flickr.

As a big MAW fan I really would enjoy seeing pictures of Chapultepec castle.

Apparently I need to go through some machinations because flickr won't work on TMP. I need to see if I can figure out what Bill told me to do.

That link works. Nice pics. I had no idea that some of the inside of that place were so grand. Max and Carlotta had it rough…XD

Obviously, the Americans had covering fire from positions on the nearby skyscrappers. :)

Outstanding shots!

Thank you for sharing, especially those two of the Chapultepec model--very helpful!

Thanks for sharing. I went there while in Mexico City on business last year and found the experience fascinating in that a good portion of the artwork did not necessarily portray the US and Americans in a good light. It was interesting to see American history from a different perspective.

@Red, I agree 100%. I got a funny feeling when it dawned on me that, hey, you are talking about the USA.

Great pics Thanks. There were a few more flags there in 1981.
