If anyone has information relating to the volunteer uniforms worn by the Parma infantry in 1847/48 it would be most welcome., I am aware the volunteers did not wear the German styled helmet! |

Thanks for the link to the plates, whilst non of them refer to volunteers, I will prob have to look at one of these uniforms, Artilleryman I am looking at The Skirmish at Pastrengo |

As with most armies it was a period of transition. Parma, through dynastic connection tended to wear Habsburg uniforms in style but in blue in colour and with double-breasted jackets. I think for Pastrengo, I would put the volunteers in greatcoats with shakos or fatigue caps. |
