Hi All,

I've decided to give him a read.

Can you please recommend your favourite single-volume bio?

Thanks much, and Happy New Year!

I did enjoy a book called 'Prince Eugen of Savoy' by Nicholas Henderson.

Yes, Henderson is a good bio. Counterpoints his and Marlborough's strengths and weaknesses in an even handed way, and makes clear the Empire's key priority for almost all of the period- the Turkish front.
