Currently, most people who post about their blog copy the post to the Blogs of War board. Which is perfectly fine. Is it useful to have all blog posts on the same board? Would there be any advantage to dividing things up – Ancients Blogs of War, WWII Blogs of War, etc.? |

No advantage from my perspective, my blog covers many periods |

I like them all in one spot, but appreciate it when people identify what their blog is about, when posting new threads. If they don't, I rarely look at them, unless it is one I am familiar with already. |

Leave it as one, I think. |

I like the fact that all the blog stuff is in one place, it's a bit like a lucky dip bag. If I want Napoleonics I can go to that board, WW1 Naval that board and so on. On here I can see a good selection of everything that is being posted and dip in and out of posts I wasn't necessary looking for. Having the blog stuff all in one place helps me to keep track of bloggers whose stuff I like, certain people (not going to mention names as head sizes will increase !) could start gaming "The Great Wakefield Rubarb War of 1823" and I would look simply because they always have great painted figures, or they might have a particularly good style of writing, segregated blog sections would reduce that, yes I could look through each section, but hey I am a busy man with figures to paint ! Personally the Blogs of War area brought a lot of folk to my humble "Yarkshire Gamer" site last year for Project Jutland, they may not have been avid WW1 Naval fans (there isn't that many) who enjoyed the models or the build process. I vote "Blogs of War" remain. Happy New Year everyone. Regards Ken yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk |

Isn't that what cross posting is for? |

I agree with WD, if properly posted using cross-posting for the appropriate period then there isn't a need to create multi-period blog forums. |

No need for separate Period-Blog boards as members can cross-post to period specific boards if they feel the need. |

Yes that works just fine. |

Sounds like a terrible idea! Most blogs including my own, ramble all over the place so keeping them in one place makes sense. I tend to post a link (when i remember to do that) to the Blogs page, Wargaming in the UK and then the relevant period page if appropriate link |

Why wouldn't cross posting work? |

Leave it for the reasons stated above. |

I never remember to cross-post my blog articles to the Blogs of War board. I only post to the period- and subject-specific forums. |

Keep as is. although I wish they would include a picture in their post as a teaser, but I guess that is a whole new debate…. (or an old one..) |

Keep it like it is. I rarely cross post due to keep getting time out issues. I will try cross posting in future but will post to Blogs of War first. |

Never even noticed the Blogs of War board but I very rarely post on TMP about my blog posts as it is all a bit look at me! look at me! I think. |

why even consider wasting time on something like that, surely the time would be better spent getting TMP 4 up and going? especially when people are saying that would make them consider a paying membership more than they are now. |

Definitely separate boards |
