Wow! I took advantage of Jim Arnold's Christmas sale and ordered a copy of the only one of his works I didn't already have (1813 – Bautzen) on the 28th of December, Australian Time.

He processed the Order and posted it on December 29th Australian Time and the postman has just knocked on the door a few minutes ago to deliver it on January 5th Australian time.

6 days from the US is remarkable and in my experience completely without precedent. I now very rarely buy anything from the US due to shipping costs and delay. Its so much cheaper and easier to deal with British suppliers.

Astonishingly good service from Jim Arnold, well done that man!

Yeah, James is usually pretty prompt in regards to turnaround time, etc.

That's an excellent book. My wife purchased the two 1809 campaign books and I can't wait to read them.

DaleWill, thanks for the tip and let me add that you'll enjoy the 1809 books. A very fluid and accessible pair of accounts making sense and flow of these vast and complex campaign/battles. Wonderful reads.

Another vote for the wonderful service of these guys. I snuck my order in just before the Dec 31 deadline, and got a response saying that it would be posted on Jan 2 (Jan 3 Oz time), the books, (Crisis in the Snows and Napoleon's Triumph) arrived today 12th Jan. Not quite as quick as the OP, but still great service at a very busy time of year!
