"First to Fight" models from Poland has really done justice to the tanks and equipment of early WW2. Any wargamer in the 20-25mm/ 1/72nd scale range who have bought and built these premium kits will attest to their accuracy, crisp moulding and detail, and brevity of assembly; a long awaited characteristic received happily by the weary modeler/wargamer, who had been accustomed to long drawn out assemblies of kits with far too many parts!
That's why I am surprised that the new offering of the Pz35t from "First to Fight" is actually out of scale and way undersized for an accurate reproduction in the published scale on the box of 1/72nd scale. Anyone knowledgeable in the dimensions of these vehicles will know the Pz35t was a little longer, and a little wider than it's brother the Pz38t. The "f2f" (abbrev) kit looks to be more like the size of an FT17, or more like in 1/76th or even HO 1/87th train scale!
I was diappointed, and hope the "f2f" company will redress and correct this defect; I thought of using them as the earlier 3 man czech tank, but don't know if the Germans used them at all. They do look a little embarrassing next to my Pegasus Pz38t's and are hard to ignore.
Anyone else find the same conclusions?
Happy 2017! Vikingkelt.

I have this FtF model. I've checked dimensions and it looks like it is spot on in 1:72 scale.
Possibly something is wrong with Pegasus Pz38(t)?

How did you check it? Are you just being facetious, or are you sincere? No, I haven't checked the Pegasus Pz38t's dimensions because it's the same size as the Attack version, which I also have, and I believe it is based on the old ESCI molds; having the high reputation ESCI has, that makes 3 manufacuturers vs 1. I haven't checked them for accuracy because of this, I suppose they could be off but I doubt it. According to 2 tank encyclopedias,
the Pz35t is 18ft long, 2 ft longer than the Pz38t, and a little wider too. What method did you use to check the dimensions, maybe your math is off, or your instruments are out of calibration? I suppose I could be wrong; but doubt it. ("Spot on")? Deleted by Moderator

Wikipedia states real Pz 35(t) was 4900 mm long and 2060 mm wide. It gives 68mm and 28,6mm in 1:72 scale. I've taken a ruler and measured the model – it fits in those dimensions very well. You can check by yourself.

Did someone mention the last election or something?

Jerry,

First visit 1/2/2017. Bill must be cutting some him slack.

18 ft is not the same as 4.9 metres, more like 5.5 metres (5.4864). Which is right I cannot say, but that is where your discrepancy is ….

Esci never made a 38(t), Esci did however make a 35(t) .
Fujimi made a 38(t) but its 1/76th .

This is what this site does best. You come in with a question and people freely jump in to help. Just remember, you may not get the answer you want to hear.

Does anyone have the Pegasus Pz38t kit or tank built for comparison to the f2f Pz35t? I'd like to know if Pegasus' Pz38t is out of scale, maybe too large, or not? Maybe that's the problem; they do look funny together…

mr nazrat – why so mean & nasty? posting 3x was a computer glitch; slippery screen, tiny smartphone keyboard; extremely exhausted when posting – fell asleep 3x while posting – perfectly human mistake, please forgive; mercy trumps wrath every time… have a sense of humor; why so ready to pounce on perceived offenses; have a little patience. Would you like to live in a dog house? Put yourself in the other person's shoes; give 'em the benefit of the doubt…I never mentioned the election either. God bless.

Where was I "mean and nasty" in any way? I said you were offensive in your post-- the Editor agreed because he snipped you. Seems I was just telling the truth…

So, is the consensus that the real Pz35t and Pz38t tanks were very close in size; does anyone out there have any Pz38t models in 1/72nd scale for comparison? The only ones I own are made by Pegasus…crickets
