I have Caesar & Newline NKE chariots but I like variety. I acquired a set of the old Atlantic Egyptian chariots. They needed work……
new wheels
axle replaced with a longer length of wire & moved to rear
additional detail on the chariot body
driver given a whip

Still a bit "toy-like" but not too bad.

Hi, John,

I looked at Tutankhamen's chariot & then watched a doco on chariot fighting that built two reproductions. These things could turn on a 5c coin because of the long axles..

Looks pretty rough terrain for chariots… :)

Look closely……they're fitted with Monroemsses" shock absorbers.

Yeah, they look like they would be very stable platforms for firing from. Very nicely done.

Thanks.

ochoin,

Great job painting, sir! Love the 'dicing' on the horse blankets!

Is this part of the 'Trojan Wars' project or a Biblical project?

@ Swampie

Generic Bronze Age, really.

If I had any Hittites, I could plausibly use them as Trojans.

As it is, I'll end up doing a number of Mycenaean/Sea Peoples' invasions of Egypt.

My wargaming pals are looking (eventually) to produce an Assyrian army.

I think I may use my Atlantic Trojans. I have been buying stuff for the period for decades. The Caesar stuff was nice. My mine hold up has been what scale of game to do.

What will you use for Sea Peoples? I have Hittites and Assyrians. Just need to paint it all up.

You know I love the stuff you and your group do! You guys really set a gold standard.

It is greatly admired and inspiring.

Thanks.

John

Hi, John,

I have used Caesar Sea Peoples, Philistines & Libyans. I scratch-built chariots (carts, really) for Sea Peoples' Leaders & did a Libyan one whilst doing the Atlantic conversions:

The dream is a campaign (with sieges) for the period. As I lack Hittites, why don't you drop by for a game?
