I got a lot of WWII photo's recently and I wonder if some of these are important places, but I can not find more info by searching the web.

For example I have a picture of the Bank of Guam, was there any branches of this bank other then on the island of Guam?

I have a picture for a navy band for the U.S.S Buffalo, problem is there was no U.S.S Buffalo in service in WWII as it was never finished. Could this be an older WWI picture for the submarine crew?

Then I have two pictures of sailors standing next to a sign that says Route IW Tokyo. Was this place of any significance? I also have some street pictures (there driving on the wrong side of the road) and not sure if they were taken there as well or not.

A lot of the pictures are of an aircraft carrier and the sailers below decks with pictures of them with a news paper that says Japan Surrendered. Any idea where I might look to see if I can figure out what carrier this was?

I also have a lot of ruins pictures for I assume Japan. There are some land marks here, but not been able to ID them as either city that we hit with the nukes. Anyone here an expert on those events?

Non of these appear to be photo's readily available, so I assume these are one off.

I have not had time to upload them anywhere yet. They will eventually go into the Etsy store.

WOW, I figured there would be someone here who knew something about WWII Japan. I guess not…

you posted on a Sci Fi discussion board, which may explain the lack of response. ;)
