Love the paint job! I like that you went with a painted helmet. For some reason few folks go that way, even though period art shows varied colored helmets in the ranks. Did you customize the lance? I mean other than adding the banner.

Yes, the lance is made from steel wire. I belt the ends with a hammer against an anvil then clip the ends to a point before filing it off as well as filing the but end flat. I made the graper with a sheet of plastic card and an office hole-punch which is then drilled and slid down and glued with Supa-glue. I sliced of a section of soft aluminium tube which fits perfectly over the steel wire for the cowling on the fore-part of the graper. I decided to paint my graper as leather.

I went with the coloured helm to empahsise the red for my 'Red Earl'.
