Hi all Last Months update TMP link Well another year has passed and I am not going to finsih anything else today So how did I do overall. The plan for 2016 was to not set a target of figures painted but to aim at concentrating on projects in the painting locker. Bought 1/1200 – 1 28mm – 366 TOTAL BOUGHT 367 Painted 6mm – 411 28mm – 310 TOTAL PAINTED – 721 Lead mountain reduced by 354 figures Not a bad year at all but didn't finish any of my projects so 2017 plan is to continue concentrating on projects but with the plan to apint 500 figures more than I buy. :-) MH |

All I can say, is that I bought shedloads of 28mm & painted a heck of a lot less. Lead, plastic & resin mountain is now bigger…oh well, there's always next year |

The year to date numbers were positive, I resisted the urge to go nuts. Start: +271 Painted in December: 27 figures worth Bought in December: 146 (Black Friday came in) End for the year: +162 For the full year: Painted: 694 Sold: 341 Bought: 742 Looks like my painting is keeping roughly constant with purchases, but I managed to get rid of a number of projects so the lead pile is overall much smaller. 2017: Positive again, either by painting or sales, it shall be so! |

YTD numbers are about as ugly as I would expect. December was full of activities and home repairs/renovations so there was little time to do any hobby stuff. Here's the numbers for the month/year; Painted – 0 Bought – 791 706 – 15mm SYW 25 – 28mm Crusaders 60 – 28mm Boers For the year I am at a -3018 Hope to start making up the deficit next year with more going out to painters. I bought quite a bit of SYW at a discount to keep that project going in 2017. |

Made some time last week and finished the unit that had been languishing on my painting table for over a month. That squeaked me into the black for the first year ever. Bought: 244 Painted: 245 |

Started the month with 143 in the pile. Painted: 32 2 – Ral Partha Earth Elementals 12 – Ral Partha Orc Archers 12 – Ral Partha Human Archers 6 – Ral Partha Human Axemen Bought: 147 50 – Ral Partha Human Infantry figures (axemen, swordsmen, archers, dismounted knights) 12 – Ral Partha Orc Archers 42 – Ral Partha Elf figures (pikemen, archers, swordsmen, cavalry) 39 – Various Ral Partha figures – undead, monsters, fantastic creatures, Amazons 2 – Ral Partha Max Mentalus figures – Facebook Old School Miniatures group painting challenge 2 – Secret Santa gifts! A Grenadier Old World Dragon and a John Dennett Histath sculpt. I knew this month would be the bad month for the "Bought" part of the pledge, with the Chaos Wars Kickstarter Wave 2 rewards coming in, as well as figures for my demo games. The Max Mentalus figures are for a fun painting challenge and I had a great Secret Santa box this year. I figured, what are 4 more figures to the pile? I started 2016 with 415 in the pile. I painted 320 figures. I bought 163 figures. I end the year with 258 in the pile. For the year, I am in the black by 157 figures. Not where I expected to be, but I think 2017 is looking like the year when I finally get that pile down to the magic number of 0! … and then I'll buy more and start all over again. :D Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Pledge! You all kept me motivated and I'll be participating again next year! |

As expected the Holidays put a damper on the painting but I was able to stay in the black. Month Bought – 19 Painted – 6 net – -13 YTD Bought – 204 Painted – 208 Net – +4 OK so the numbers close but I'm happy to have finished the year with painted more than bought. There's about 24 figures on the workbench close to being finished so January should be a good month. |

Lost track of the exact count. However, after going to Hcon I moved into the negative column. Sold some stuff and then bought a bunch more. Good Luck in 2017. T |

For December, I painted 28 men and 1 horse. I bought 78 men and 2 horses. For the year, I bought 392 men and 11 horses, and painted 147 men and 9 horses. I also sold off 172 men, which helps to offset the difference. Looking back 40 years to 1976, when I started keeping records, I've bought 18,071 figures and 1948 horses. I've painted 9,680 people and 848 horses. So, I've painted about 54% of the figures I bought and about 43% of the horses I've bought. I didn't start keeping track of the figures I sold off until 2009; since then, I've sold off 659 figures. I hit a major painting slump a year or so back <sigh>, and am slowly working my way back. Maybe 2017 will continue that trend. Grelber |

November/December 2016 total: Bought 90 (A Frostgrave box, some Infinity, and a bit of new 15mm) SOLD 8 (mostly a spare War Machine unit) Painted 0 Year-to-date totals: Growth -124 Painted +6 Success of a sort, though attained through collection shrinkage instead of painting very much. My goal for 2017 will remain the same: Paint half of what I buy. |

December was another good month for painting, but with the miniatures my wife bought me I lost ground. Ended the year at -5 so I am happy. If I can continue painting for myself the pile will start going down since I will have not be getting any money to buy anything. |

I started December having painted 3 more figures than I bought for the year. Well I fell short. Painted 35x 15mm Cossacks Bought 5x 28mm figures A union cavalry regiment in 10mm from Good ground totaling 29 figures. Then Pictors Studio was clearing out some unpainted stock. I could not resist at the price he was asking. I bought 80 100 ACW figures for a total purchase in December of 127 figures. Leaving me +89 figures for the month and the year. So while the lead pile grew it was limited. Here's to 2017. |
