I was contemplating the rules Banzai Age of the Country at War from 2D6 games, especially as it is on sale from Wargame Vault right now. Looks nice, but then I also have 15mm rather than 6mm. How are the rules? Does it matter if I use larger figures, or is it all the same? How important is base size? The author has some videos, but while it looks nice I must says he's putting me to sleep so I need different sources of information.

Rules look fine and the sale makes them worthwhile. Figure size and base sizes, do not seem to matter, only that both sides use the same frontage eg. 60mm front x 30mm deep.
I haven't played the rules, but I have samurai armies in 25mm, 15mm and 10mm, I can field 2 opposing armies in each scale.
A tabletop war game tragic.
