I don't think I've seen anything that actually delved into the military aspects. There's a few on the revolution itself but nothing that great. |

The Great War documentary, based on the Hew Strachan book, has good parts on Russia and a bit on its internal problems. Not sure what else, sadly |

Trying to find any information in English on the Russian Civil war can be difficult by itself Similarly documentaries are also rare. There is one source thatn you can look at Wiki has posts that list films associated with various historical events and individuals. This is their list for the Russian Civil War and surprisingly it lists 38 ( many will be fiction) link So take a look and see if you find any interesting ones The details should will give some help in finding them |

If you go to the Lead Adventure forum and the Back of Beyond page there are some knowladeable people on there who may be able to help. But I think documentarys in english will be hard to find. |

I've been searching for films on this topic, and have come across a few by google searching "История гражданской войны" (history of the civil war) This for example can be auto translated to English (in the CC/caption settings) YouTube link Its not perfect but you get the gist.
And here's another longer one, but completely in russian, no option to translate. Some nice footage though:

There is also this somewhat brief english documentary in 5 parts:
