I admit to no small amount of jealousy regarding your extensive Old Crow collection…

Thanks gents. I probably overdid it with all the vehicles. I am a sucker for them.

Could you talk about your basing materials and scheme?

darebear30 Dec 2016 9:54 p.m. PST

Well the figure scheme is in the blog posting. Tamiya Field Grey as a basecoat. You could use Vallejo Field Grey instead. I find Tamiya airbrushes nicely. Washed black then highlighted again with the base color and then again with the base mixed with Vallejo White-Green.

The basing is Woodland Scenics light sand, painted with Tamiya Flat Earth. Then drybrushed Reaper Driftwood Brown and then Reaper Khaki Highlight.

Woodland Scenics flock finishes it off. I use a mix of Green-Blend, Earth-Blend, Weeds and Yellow Grass.

Thanks! What material are you using for the bases themselves?
