Inspired by Sharp Practice, I am looking to put together a Portuguese force for about 1810 to 1813. Other than Front Rank, who makes suitable figures in 28mm scale? |

I think the best are from Front Rank. They have an extensive selection. The infantry, for instance, are available in the earlier Barretina shako and the later Stovepipe shako. |

Elite Miniatures do a heap of Portuguese as do Bicorne (the old Connoisseur range). |

Victrix did but Im not sure if they still do They did, but sold the rights and molds to Brigade Games, who do a much better job of casting them. |

Casting room miniatures (part of the Foundry empire) did a range but they are not as good as the ranges by the Perry's for Foundry. I havea brigade of them but I'm always a bit dissapointed with the poses and general appearance of these casting romm figures (but they do have a 20 % discount end of season sale now I believe). My main Portugese forces are front Rank and again I can really recommend them, great figures, paint up well, look good on the table. |

I just picked up some Portuguese Caçadores with muskets from Brigade (I believe these are the former Victrix) and they are quite nice. I believe that Brigade has commissioned some new Portuguese line sculpted by Paul Hicks to augment (or replace?) the old Victrix line. The new Hicks sculpts include a skirmishing/ firing line pack as well as a marching pack while the older Victrix were available in marching only. |
