Ready for paint. After finishing there's some things I'd do a touch differently if I did it again, but I don't need two, so I'm quite happy with this as a first ever conversion effort. More photos once I get the vehicle and crew painted and assembled. That may take me a while, the queue at the air brush station is getting pretty full. This is a conversion of a Warlord Marder III combined with a Flak 38 gun. The gun is magnetized and removable for use on it's original base to get dual use out of it. I still have to paint it of course.
The real thing:

There is something odd about the lighting and shadows in the second picture which makes it look like a very good model photo |

Fantastic! I was recently thinking I should quit complaining about the lack of a sig33 on pzkwI body and do what the Germans did: stick a sig33 on a pzkwI and add some armor plate. Good job getting past the thinking stage! |

Jeff, there's a good article on the Warlord site to do that exact conversion. It actually looks a lot easier than this one as the geometry is all square. I wold say go for it. This one was so fun I'm using the left-over Pak-40 gun from the Marder to make a pak-40 RSO. |

Finished!
The gun is magnetized so it can also be used as a standard Flak 37 gun:
