It seems all pirates out there these days are modeled after 17th C. pirates. I am in search of nautical types that would look good along side medieval fantasy sorts. Captain, crews, galley slaves/oarsmen, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated. -Eli |

Mithril miniatures have a selection of Corsairs of Umbar which have an Arabian look to them, but some of the sailor types especially the one with the grappling hook would be useful. Also Barony miniatures made a range of 13th century Medievals which included a set of ships crew and they also sold Medieval cogs as a cardboard kit. Unfortunately I think Barony has gone out of business. here is the Mithril corsairs link: link |

Does anyone do any sort of plastic miniatures in 28mm that could be easily converted into medieval looking equivalents to Cossacks? I really like the look of Cossacks but most of the minis I have found for them are armed with pistols and rifles. -Eli |
