Strictly hobby related: 1) Find a 3mm or 6mm or 15mm historical era to build. 2) Divest myself of more 25mm figures. Lots more. 3) Have my 28mm jousting figures painted by a friend. 4) Paint and have painted 15/18mm Fantasy/Science Fiction/VSF figures. 5) Decide the fate of my 6mm Science Fiction figures. 6) Paint my 1970s dwarf and goblin figures. 7) Spend a lot less time online at TMP and LAF. Eight) Paint and have painted more 3mm planes. 9) Play more Games! 10) Focus on selected rules and archive the rest. 11) Paint terrain. |

Complete the 2017 project I've chosen, 10mm WW1 in Mesopotamia. |
The Beast Rampant | 28 Dec 2016 9:55 p.m. PST |
Set goals and stick to them. Try and fend off the "ooh, shiny" bug as best I can. I've made pretty good progress since the beginning of November …but since almost all of it was on a project I'd only just considered a few weeks earlier, the net effect is that it looks like I've done jack squat. |
Extra Crispy | 28 Dec 2016 10:07 p.m. PST |
Finish my various rules writing projects. |

Real life goals are: 1) close out my disability case and return to the workforce. 2) secure our own residence, restoration of driving privileges, and owning a car. 3) move forward. Gaming goals are: A) finish painting and then playing my SAGA warband (more than halfway there this, may be an obsolete goal by 2017.) B) obtain, paint and play a Bolt Action Japanese force. C) continue my work on adapting FiveCore for Star Trek gaming, both ground-based Away Team style games and also ship-to-ship action. D) circle back to my Egypt-themed Frostgrave stuff and play a campaign with my wife. |

For my TSATF musket rules, Flames of Liberty and The Sword and the Haggis. 1. Finish enough militia and stuff to do Kings Mountain. I've always thought this was impossible to game and I intend to prove myself wrong. 2. Prestonpans. I need to grit my teeth and gird my loins and sit down and do a bunch of Highlanders and Gubmint troops. I shall avoid diced hose. 0. Most importantly, I owe other people painted figures. 3. In my FoW armies, I need to finish my Yank Paratroops and Russki Cossacks. |

1) Finish painting my By Fire and Sword Swedish army. 2) Paint at least 1 Bloodbowl team. 3) I'd like to paint some more of my 40K Tyranids and Age of Sigmar Khorne so I have 1000 points painted. 4) If I finish all those or get bored and need a break then I have plenty of other models lying around to be painted. 5) Who knows what new stuff I might get interested in this year and completely upset my painting plans. |
robert piepenbrink | 29 Dec 2016 6:07 a.m. PST |
Finish the last armies. That's 200 28mm, of whom 20 still have to be purchased 200 15mm, of whom 40 vehicles still have to be purchased 500 5mm, of whom 200 still need to be purchased. Find rules for the Barsoom figures. Find another opponent for one game a month--possibly two such. Continue getting rid of surplus armies, but that will take into 2018 to finish. It's the opponent one that's tricky. |
Who asked this joker | 29 Dec 2016 6:25 a.m. PST |
@coopman, We are doing Feudal/Early Crusades for "Vows of Iron." War of the Roses sounds like a fine idea. Lots of variance in armies with all the European mercenaries. John |

Add another 400 figures to my 40mm FIW collection that is already over 500 figures. Add to my 40mm AWI collection that is already over 1,800 figures. |

1) Finish off 20mm WWII Normandy project – at least in terms of having three infantry battalions each for Canadians and Germans 2) Finish off the three unfinished Dwarf units on the table (Slayers, gyrobomber and a unit of old school warriors) 3) Have a huge SYW game with my as yet untested Russians 4) Finish off Ney's Corps in 6mm as well as basing that 6mm unbased Russian Corps I think those are reasonable goals |
Fat Wally | 29 Dec 2016 8:57 a.m. PST |
Finish my 15mm Peter Pig ACW and ECW. I've got lots of other stuff too, but realistically these 500 figures are the target. |

jeffreyw3 | 29 Dec 2016 2:28 p.m. PST |
1. I will make substantial progress on the Dornonino/Schevardino/Utitsa "Chef de battalion" project in 6mm. 2. I will paint 6mm miniatures and like it. I will paint them quickly, and will share no picture taken from closer than 2 feet away. 3. When I feel the need to do meaningful painting, I will finish off the just-started Saga/Swordpoint Teutonic Knights army with these lovely Gripping Beast figures. 4. If I feel the need to do meaningful painting, I can also finish off the 28mm Perry Russian half-battery or the Odessa Regiment. But I will not base these. |

1. Try and finish my swedish army. I'm just 6 cavalry and 3 command away from halfway goal. But given used 15 months on the first half i doubt I'll do the second half in 11 months. Even tho its not a huge amount of figures, just 66 infantry, 54 cavalry and 4 command. But I'll be distracted. . 2. Also work on the enemies of Sweden given that i need about two danes/saxons/russians for every 1 swede 3. More work on my 7YW project
4. Mabye paint up some more sengoku forces. 5. Early HYW must continue |
Rotundo | 28 Jan 2017 12:12 p.m. PST |

1. Finish my clearout of 'stuff I've bought that I've no chance of finishing' 2. Finish my clearout of 'stuff I've used but no longer have space for' 3. Get rid of my non-Airfix 20mm buildings: I'm sticking with old school! 4. Finish my 18mm ACW. 5. Finish my 20mm Cold War (considering the number of unpainted models, I suspect this will last long into 2018. Or 2025). 6. Join a club with a table big enough to do 5. |
