I have to admit I'm a backer on this one. To me they have the 'right' look for Dwarves (never was big on the Warhammer punk rock style!)
link to Kickstarter here: link They don't seem to be getting any traction though. Stuck around $3 USDK of $10 USDK goal. |

I like those, actually, especially #3 (I have a female dwarf warband for Song of Blades and Heroes), but 10k is a pretty high pricepoint to make for figures of a type – basic dwarves – that a lot of people already make. |

Unfortunately I'm not seeing how this one is going to make out. The figs are quite nice and but nothing particularly new and at 6-9 bucks each, there's alot of competition from figs that are better detailed.
Also they're investing in some kind of injection technology but they're making their figs out of some kind of resin and they're monopose. The whole point of expensive injection molding is genrally to do multipart plastic figures and to shoot for a lower price point. The rubber base holders are an interesting touch though. Alot of gamers just leave their base edges black anyway, so why not make them out of rubber? |

They're OK. Too much though of the "I'm using my shield as a counterweight" type poses (see Warrior #1 & Warrior #5). While these are probably easier to mold, they look useless in a battle line, and are more suitable for RPGs than mass combat games (which is where I would use plastics over metal). So they really don't offer me much, and are not really in a style I like (I prefer short Vikings or Anglo-saxons for my dwarfs, heavily inspired by the Citadel Norse Dwarfs I first bought those many years ago…) Damon. |

Also say I'm not super keen on their basing scheme either. I'm a bit OCD in that I like ALL my figures based the same or it bothers me. I have been basing my RPG figures on 25mm round plastic bases since forever, and switching to a different basing scheme would bother me to no end. So I really dislike the idea of being "forced" to use their basing scheme with their figures. I think they might be more successful just releasing the bases by themselves as a new innovation in basing schemes, rather than forcing it on the consumer if they want their figs. Damon. |

They also say the miniatures will be resin. |

They look very good, but I've already got more dwarves than I know what to do with, & I'm all KS'd out at the moment. |

To be fair, I don't think you're forced to use their bases. The pictures seem to indicate that the figure, resin inner base and rubber outer base are all separate parts. Still, I wonder how much lower the price would be if they were simply selling the figs with your choice of slotta (GW or Privateer) rather than reinventing the wheel with their own basing system. |
