Just curious as to everyone's thoughts and experiences. Looking for an excuse to get 40-50 3mm hueys, cause it would look sweet |

Scale would be pretty funky for Vietnam. Maneuver elements are full battalions so unless you're mostly doing what-if's of giant battles or perhaps parts of Tet, I'm not sure they'd work out well. |

Agreed – just the wrong scale of rules for that conflict. If you need an excuse, do a "banana republic / imagin-ation" style game and have at it. |

You could maybe do something like issue orders to individual companies instead of battalions but I'm not sure it'd be super comfy. |

What about if I called each stand a squad instead of a platoon? |

Then you're playing at the Flames of War level. Nothing to stop you doing it. But a squad does not have the same fire power as a platoon. The game would work (counters don't care what you call them) but you might get some wonky results. |
