I painted up a Nativity for my mother this year for Christmas. Here is the finished product. Certainly not as elaborate as a real diorama, but I didn't really know what board to place this on. angrypiper.com/gaming/?p=1416 Check out the post over at Dead Dick's Tavern if you care to know more about the process. Merry Christmas, everyone! |

Very nice, though I think I was expecting it to have sword wielding heroes instead of standard fare! |

The simplicity of the scene is refreshing. I hope she liked it because I sure do. |

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I figured it's a small Nativity that can easily fit on an end table. Perfect for a small apartment around Christmas time. Funny thing is she hasn't even seen it yet. I won't be seeing her for Christmas until New Year's Eve, and the chances of her discovering it while casually browsing TMP are quite slim indeed. I'll let you know her reaction. |

Thanks again, everyone. I gave it to her last night and she loved it. Then I told her I painted it and she cried. She thought I just bought it, despite the fact that I've been into miniatures since I was a wee lad. Anyway, turns out it was a winner as a gift. If any fellow TMPers have a religious Christian mom, this is a good gift to get. |

You honored both the true meaning and the spirit of Christmas. Your gift was more precious than gold, frankincense or myrrh. You did nice work and I'm glad she appreciated it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you both. |
