Just got an email from Plastic Soldier Co to say they are taking pre orders on a boxed set of 5 T-55AM2B tanks. Looks like they are going head to head with Battlefront to supply gamers with tanks for the upcoming Volksarmee book.

New plastic 15mm T55 variants announced
We're very excited to announce, that PSC will be producing a boxset of the ubiquitous T55AM2B Main Battle Tank in service with the DDR's NVA the boxset will contain 5 hard plastic MBT's with options to build 2 variants the T55AMB2, and the T55A that saw service with many WARPAC nations during the cold war, such as Czechoslovakia and Poland to name the more popular ones. The image pictured is the fantastic box artwork that has been done for us by a new artist to PSC Eugene Duranin, we're rather pleased with it.
The 15mm pack contains 5 models and will retail at around £21.50 GBP
We are hoping that these will be available towards the end of the first quarter in 2017, so around late March or early April.

Good to hear.

Would really like a M60A1, and/or M60A3, if anyone is reading, or listening as well, since those were the predominant tanks in Western Europe from the early 1960s through the end of the Cold War.

No Mako, needs me some M60A2 Starship.:-)
Actually trying to find em in 1/87 scale if possible.

Old Glory released some M60's at Hcon, including an A2. Also an M103 for the true heavies. They looked pretty good to me!

BF should have made the T-55's in plastic.

I've bought some 20mm T-55's made by Amerco at Ollies Bargain Center for $4.99 USD a pop. The also had Leo 1a2's and Challengers.

As long as we are making a wishlist for PSC, I would like some Israeli Centurions in 15mm.

Garand28 Dec 2016 11:36 a.m. PST

Just Cents in general would be nice! You could prob do it with 2 engine decks (standard Mk 5 and the Israeli mod with the Detroit Diesel engine), 2 gun barrels (20pder and 105mm) and a few detail doo-dads and you could do Israeli, NATO and Aussie Cents for wargaming!

Damon.

TheWhiteDog28 Dec 2016 1:35 p.m. PST

I'd be in for 40-50 or so Cents, if they had the ability to serve as Aussie or Izzie.

Battlefront's people have said in interviews that they will produce an M60 model.

@MajorMike

Thanks for that…I think. Toys are 25% off at Ollies now. Spent about $90 USD on armor today :)

BF is planning to introduce the M60A3 as part of its "Stripes" line. I guess we will see the T-64, BTRs and Maybe the M2 and M3 Bradley. Old Glory has the M60A1 and the M60A2 in 15mm.

As Ive said on other threads when I first heard about this; PSC + Cold War = Great News!

To be fair I dont (managed to resist so far) play TY, but God ALL of the plastic starter sets look amazing. (not helping)

Ive wondered that all along.
I know 'the Game is based on a Book series' based on what the author knew or what we 'thought we knew' about Soviet resources of the time. But I never quite understood how they just passed over that regarding the M60's. Knowing it was, IIRC still 'our MBT' at the time.

BF should have made the T-55's in plastic.
I think a LOT of companies are starting to think the same thing.
Each time I ck'ed the FOW site, it seemed more AFV's were being re-released in plastic.
