Merry Christmas Guys

Pics of my finished 15mm Bavarian commission, I'm very happy to have done these, I had planned on making these for myself, but would never have had the time to get around to it, so was chuffed when my friend wanted just this army, firstly the sun is very hot and bright here in eastern Australia today, so the pictures aren't the best, the figures look much better in the hand, the figures are AB, theres a fare few conversions, the Grenadier battalion are all head swaps, the skirmishers are mostly French converted to Bavarians for variety, the command is mostly converted from Austrians and the Limber is converted Austrian, flags are from fighting 15s, I'm pretty happy with how these turned out, I will get the customer to take pictures of them ones they are based, all comments welcome.

Stunning, you get better and better. The horses look just so real. Would you be willing to share a step by step tutorial? I'm mainly impressed about how you cram all those figures on a stick.

Just a bit hair splitting, you could paint the interior hat band at the officers hat – could be for officers of very thin leather, even coloured like red, or light blue or off white or natural leather colour, I will try to do this on one of the AB Russian staff officers waving the hat

Thanks guys, interior hat band? maybe next time, horse tutorial? Sure, next time I paint horses I will take some step by step pics and write a tut, not really much to say though, it's really just getting the colours right, the bays are GW dark flesh, with either black or Velajo red leather added to get different tones.

Gunner, I meant a step by step of the infantry.

Gunner Dunbar27 Dec 2016 5:55 p.m. PST

Yeah, sure, will do something one day.

Good stuff!

Not finished yet though; good looking basing will take quite some time and effort!

Robert Kapa28 Dec 2016 10:45 a.m. PST

May I ask you how long did it take you to paint them all. It would take ages to me but you look very prolific.

Gunner Dunbar28 Dec 2016 4:42 p.m. PST

Conversions and painting took 3 weeks, customer will be basing them up.
