Let me preface this with the comment that I already own Gruntz, but am looking to expand (yet again) on my miniatures rules collections. I have tried looking for non-biased reviews of Ion Age and Critical Mass's rules but the pickings have been slim. Does anyone have some insight(s) they would like to offer? Gameplay? Unit Builder or "fixed"? Solitaire Capability? -Patrick

Of those mentioned I have only played Patrol Angis. It is pretty fast, and very bloody. Great for larger battles. Play is "i activate a unit, then you activate a unit". Some of the heavy weapons, especially like those carried by the Duxas battle suits, are highly effective. Haven't gotten a chance to play with vehicles yet. |

Patrol Angis from Ion Age is pretty open for unit building and I know it has a solo play activation generator because the battle report I read uses it in detail. |
