All, I had to inventory and photograph my collection for insurance purposes so I figured I would share the photos with all of you. All the figures are Perry plastic and metal. They mix perfectly. Most of the figures were painted by Alan Croft – not by me. Don't have the time. Some were painted by NerdHerd Wargaming. Feel free to check them out!

Merry Xmas.

I've been building it over the past year. It's for Black Powder. Thanks again.

They're the Charleston Zouaves. They look great but never really left Charleston.

A wonderful collection! It would be interesting to learn how you went about getting the collection insured and what value was assigned. (ie: Was the value set by you or by an appraiser; How you located an appraiser.) I am sure there are many of us that might consider doing the same thing for our collections.

Thanks for sharing the pics of your beautiful collection.

Thanks for asking. I do my insurance through USAA. They have a partnership with a company called American Collectors Insurance, who specialize in collectors items like miniatures, classic cars, things that would be too expensive for regular homeowners insurance. Now, the process is pretty easy to secure a quote. My payment is once year and it's about $120 USD I think, and that covers over $20,000. USD They don't require it, but I built excel spreadsheets for all of my stuff so that I have some record of what I own.It also helps me figure out what to ask for when it comes to insurance. I priced my infantry at 10$ individually and cavalry at 15$. Tanks etc, at around 50$. I've taken photos of the WWII, ACW, and soon I'll do the same for the AWI stuff. I have way too many LOTR SBG figures to take photos -- it's nearly two thousand figures. Glad you like the collection. My wife tolerates it because I store it in my man cave so she doesn't have to see it.
