These pictures brings up a question I have. Do you or someone in your gaming group paint up really nice figures and base them to look great like in the above pics?? Reason I ask is, a guy in our group is very detailed on his figs and bases. To the point I'm afraid to handle his figs when gaming cause I don't want to damage them. My own figs are painted and based knowing they will be handled by a lot of different gamers. I don't want people to damage them but I realize it might happen. How well the above miniatures are painted and detailed, I'd be hesitant to use them on the table. |

Happy you like them boys!. (smile) About your question my friend Ironwolf… if you go to play with a wargaming group… you know that your figures can be damaged… so imho if you are so detailed with your minis… is because you want to be and to show them… and know the risks… (smile). War is a terrible business… (smile) Amicalement Armand

They are very nicely painted and based. I think the metalwork on the guns is oarticularly well done, but I do have a query about the colour used for the gun carriage. Should it not be a " greyer grey", as it was based on lead oxide paint? This bluish tone is often used by wargamers for British guns; are they right to do so? |

I agree it should be more grey..but the blue looks good:-) |

This bluish tone is often used by wargamers for British guns; are they right to do so? No, it is a wargamerism. Carl Franklin's book on British Napoleonic Field Artillery quotes the "recipe" used since well before the AWI for the paint used on British carriages and woodwork generally. It is white lead oxide mixed with a little lamp black, and produces a very light grey colour. |
