There are some nice flags sources out there from GMB and Warflag etc to supply actual flags.
What seems to be missing is information as to which issue flag or style a particular regiment ( the 11th forexample) carried at so and so time.
Therefore, I am looking for leads to any excellent sources that gives information as to this question.

All responses are appreciated.

If I understand your post correctly, you believe there were specific regimental flags? There are two, the Liebfahne and Ordinarfahne. I've not encountered any information indicating these flags were customized for any particular regiment. If anyone knows of such a source, please share it.

The flags carried by the Bavarian infantry regiments during the Napoleonic Wars underwent many changes. Up to 1812 they included examples issued in the 18th Century, more recent issues which had been altered as Bavaria's status altered and completely new issues. Details of which patterns were carried by which regiments at what time are difficult to come by. At the turn of the Century Bavarian infantry regiments carried one Leibfahne and one Ordinärfahne with the former carried by the 1st battalion. In October 1801 this was changed to two Leib- and two Ordinärfahne. In December 1803 this became one Leib- and three Ordinärfahne. Finally in March 1804 it returned to one Leib- and one Ordinärfahne carried by the 1st and 2nd field battalions respectively. This remained the norm for the rest of the Wars.

Flags were 1.73 metres square. All flags issued before 1813 were carried on staves with a light blue velvet cover. Those issued in 1813 had staves covered in black leather. All staves were topped by a gilt spear-shaped filial which was either pierced or engraved with the cypher of the Elector or King of Bavaria. Ferrules were also gilt. Gold fringed blue and white cravats, 1.06 meters long by 18 cm wide were tied beneath the filials. These cravats were usually plain but some richly embroidered examples were presented by colonels and other senior officers.

The only source I know which matches flag patterns to specific regiments is Peter Bunde. Check his Brigade Uniform plates. link

To clarify…
This link link by Mr Pendlebury
is a very good free source which presents the existence of several issues of flags by Bavaria during the period. There are some versions of 1808 issue not present ( a separate item to the point/goal of the post)here in that link.
SO my interest is….is there information now unearthed which sheds light to what versions of flags may have been with such n such regiment at that snap shot of time?

If so, could you kindly give some direction to that?

thank you

There is some information to be found in W. J. Rawkins' 'The Army of the Kingdom of Bavaria 1792-1814', which is available here: link

He writes "Details concerning which standards were carried by any particular regiment at a given time are vague and as many of the older pattern flags continued to he carried after the official withdrawal date more than one pattern may have   been carried by a regiment and pattern frequently varied between regiments."

He notes that one "unspecified" unit was still carrying the 1786 pattern flag during the 1809 Austrian campaign and later comments that "Following the 1812 campaign the lozenge patterned flag was again issued to regiments 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 replacing both the Leibfahne   and Ordinärfahne whilst the remaining regiments would appear   to have continued carrying for the most part the 1808 model flag."
