What are your favorite miniatures and who designed them (if you know that)? It could be any scale, any time period, any kind of miniature.

Whatever catches my attention at the moment … lately, it's been 25mm Napoloeonic British infantry.

Zombiesmith's Quar. They just have so much character. Same with Flytrap's Caveman v.s. Wild, which is why I backed them. To name a few.

I second Zombiesmith's Quar. They are such neat figures. The only problem is do I get 6mm, 15mm, or 28mm?

Marx Alamo Mexicans and Texans because they started my life-long love of toy soldiers. My favorite wargaming figures are my Mike's Models, Gallia and Peter Pig Colonials.

That's like asking which of your children are your favorite! Ill offer this, though: I really dig the Battle Honors WWII. If you look at photos or video of troops advancing under fire, they are always sort of hunched over, to present the smallest target. Many of the BH troops are sculpted this way. If you look at other 28mm WWII figure ranges -- many of which I love -- almost none of them have this posture. Instead they're advancing proudly upright.

Pendraken's 10mm LoA range, (sculpted by Clibanarius?) and almost anything from Tony Barton. I like the finished look of Empress' 28 mm ECW, but they can be a pain to assemble.

Ral Partha, 1970's first generation 25mm Orcs, by Tom Meier.

The very first metal miniatures that I bought in bulk for building an army when Ral Partha had a clearance sale on their first-generation 1970's 25mm Orcs as the molds were getting worn and they were gearing up to replace the line.

Jes Goodwin Escher sculpts for Necromunda. Some of the best female figures GW ever had. Followed closely by Necromunda Van Saar that came out the same year. Filled with character and will always have a nostalgic place in my heart.

Rather fond of a number of different portions of different lines – the Josef Ochmann Historical Heroes lines, the various Tabletop elephants, Donnington old sculpts, Chariot camels.
