1. Rebel fighter pilots suck!!! I have yet to see an A-Wing shoot down anyone. 2. Stormtroopers never could hit anything. They can't kill anyone! |

Plus they have really lousy armor. |

Storm troopers can kill all the civilians they want to Apparently the sight of a weapon in someone's hand ruins their aim |

The family joke is to survey truly wretched firing die rolls and announce "these people attended Imperial Stormtroopers Marksmanship School!" |

Plus they have really lousy armor. Who? The Rebel fighter pilots or the Stormtroopers? |

Rebel pilots don't have armor. In Rebels, Rex talks about how lousy Stormtrooper armor is compared to Clone armor. Interesting. |

MajorB there are some really useful visual guides to Star Wars which will show you that it is Imperial Stormtroopers who wear armour , while the rebel pilots don't. The guys in the white armour are the stormtroopers, while the rebel pilots wear more casual clothing, maybe the rebels are just a more casual bunch. |

The Storm Troopers in Rogue 1 had a lot better aim than 90% of all the Troopers in all the other movies combined. lol |

It's just that the way the statement was made in the second post above, it wasn't clear which "they" was beng referred to. "Really lousy armour" could very well be a sarcastic way of saying "no armour at all"… |

Stormtrooper armour is meant to REMIND people of the badassness of the clone troopers (so that reputation does most of the work to put the feer* into people) NOT be as effective as TC armour. Their training isn't anywhere near as comprehensive, either (except for the later first order raised-from-birth lot) – because Stormies are recruits/conscripts from normies, not clones purposefully designed for the job. As for the a-wing pilots – they never did wear armour. They were supposed to have shields, though (and were intended as interceptors – being the fastest fighters the alliance has.). It's just that the Phoenix base cell pilots keep getting killed before they can get their skills up (because they keep forgetting to engage shields). * because once you have cowed the populace, keeping them in line is much easier. |

Shame on the A-wings being so crappy in Star Wars rebels; they were by far my favorite ride in the computer games. As for Stormtroopers…. link -Will |

I love the Rebels series, while I coild not tolerate Clone Wars. The A-wings in Rebels are heavier gunned and shielded but slower than those uaed at Endor, which had their shielding, armor, and heavy guns removed to increase speed. link Plus, early rebel pilots just plain stank.Put them in a slow ship and the resilts will be bad. It really shows the contrast in the episode where Hera or Sabine (can't recall which) test pilots the new B-wing. That was cool. |

The one thing I learnt from Rebels is that Vader's Advanced Tie is very underpowered in the X-Wing! I mean he takes on the Rebel fleet single handed, inflicts significant losses and survives! |

It really isn't the storm troopers fault that they can't hit anything with their blasters. Most fans think that the storm troopers can't see out of the eye holes in the plastic helmets, but that isn't the problem. Designed into the targeting software when held by a storm trooper glove the blaster fires randomly in a cone 22.5° around the intended target. So as not to give away the fault (built in by coerced scientists and engineers) occasionally a target will be hit. Sacrificed to keep the secret. |
