"I've magnetised quite a few PHR models for my DropZone collection. Mainly because I like to have my walkers attached to my dropships, and it looks cool on the table top. The thing about doing adding all those magnets to the models is that it involves a lot of drilling, and those drilled holes need to a precise depth. So here is a quick trick to help you get the perfect depth of hole for your magnets every time. In my case the magnets I'm using are 2mm deep. So I use a bit of brown parcel tape (you can use cellotape) and wrap it round the drill bit so that I can see when I have the depth bang on…" More here link
