So to expand the question further-
What 28mm games are you guys using to play, whether it's rules with official miniatures or not, and any variations of that.
I'll start it off.
I play Warhammer 40K/30K with official miniatures.
Occasionally stilll play FUBAR with whatever tickles my fancy.
Trying to re-ignite interest in 1St edition Warzone.
And have used Warzone to play games of Inquisitor with the 54mm models, which worked out great!
I have played In The Emperor's Name with 54mm Inquisitor models as well.

I play "LaserGrenadiers" (no surprise there) with figures and vehicles from any and every manufacturer.

Atomic Floozy18 Dec 2016 5:45 a.m. PST

I play games using "5150: New Beginning, Urban Renewal", "5150: New Hope City PI," "5150: Alien Fight Night" and "5150: Back Alleys, Bright Lights" from Two Hour Wargames. I use miniatures from several manufacturers: Foundry, Zombiesmith, Shadowforge, Eureka, GW, Copplestone, Sgt. Major Miniatures, Old Glory, GZG, Reaper, and many others I can't remember at the moment.

BaldLea18 Dec 2016 8:09 a.m. PST

Lots of Beyond the Gates of Antares (which is a fantastic game) with official miniatures.

Clash on the Fringe for narrative games using various manufacturers.

One page rules for my, otherwise unused, 40k figures.

StarGrunt II set in the classic Traveller universe (Spinward Marches before, during, and just after the Fifth Frontier War).

I have written rules for psionics and robots, which have by now been played in many games and work pretty well.

I'm using the following miniatures:

Imperial Marines:
Grenadier Imperial Marines

Zhodani forces:
Denizen Ventaurans; RAFM Traveller New Era robots; Tau gun drones; and Phagon Battle Clones (representing Zhodani in battle dress (i.e. powered armor))

Gram Army (Sword Worlds Confederation):
Spacelords Wartech, Cybertech, and Yoyodyne

I have some unpainted Games Workshop marines with beaked helmets that I intend to turn into either a Darrian or Sacnoth unit.

Vehicles include 4 gcarriers made from covered plastic soap dishes; a 50 dton cutter made from a 4" GI Joe vehicle; and a few works in progress.

nvdoyle18 Dec 2016 12:39 p.m. PST

The Colonel

Sealion18 Dec 2016 1:34 p.m. PST

We are using 40k miniatures with the One Page rule set. Infinity also gets played a lot. Occasionally we work in some Star Wars games using Mutants and Deathray Guns.

chuck05 Fezian18 Dec 2016 1:51 p.m. PST

We've been having fun with This is Not a Test.

ordinarybass18 Dec 2016 2:01 p.m. PST

-Necromunda; Mostly official figs and some proxies
-Warpath 1.0: old 40k figures
-In The Emperor's Name: Old 40k figures and alot of others.
-WarEngine/Shockforce: Old 40k, Void, Warzone, Vor, and many others
-Mech Attack: Various mecha, armored vehicles and infantry from a huge variety of different sci-fi ranges spanning 30 years.

The "other" figures and vehicles not already mentioned include but are by no means limited to Sedition Wars, Grenadier Future Warriors, Denizen sci-fi, AT43, Kryomek and many others.

There's also a variety of figs and rules that we use for Post Apoc but thats another list.

Soon I hope to try
-Warpath and Warpath Firefight 2.0, One Page 40k, and Rogue Stars with a variety of the figs listed above.

(Major Disaster)19 Dec 2016 2:56 p.m. PST

The rules I use with 28mm minis is Two Hour Wargames' 5150: Fringe Space.

The figures I use are an eclectic mix from various manufacturers -

Modified DreamForge Games Eisenkern Stormtroopers and Valkir Heavy Troopers to represent Gaea Prime's Star Army and ISS, respectively.

Mantic Games Mars Attacks Tiger Corps figures to represent my Star and his ship's crew.

Non-Gaea Prime military types run the gamut of manufacturers, from Games Workshop to Pig Iron Productions to old Rackham AT-43 U.N.A. troops.

For your basic Fringer types I use old Star Wars Miniatures Game figures and Zombiesmith's awesome A7D12 line of aliens.

I also use minis from Hasslefree Miniatures, Puppets War, and Reaper Miniatures Chronoscope line.

chromedog20 Dec 2016 4:18 p.m. PST

Infinity with the odd Tomorrow's War session is it for me.

For TW, I use my relic 40k minis (as I stopped playing 40k in 2013 and sold off a lot of it).

Uesugi Kenshin Supporting Member of TMP20 Jan 2017 4:41 p.m. PST

After 18 years away I've just started buying 40k AND 30k minis. I'm probably 5-6 months away from playing an actual game realistically.

Cap, I'm right there with you on Warzone 1st edition! thumbs up

I starting with the Terminator Genisys rules. I will likely be using my Copplestone Machines. Then Grenadier and Copplestone for the Resistance. I have some Kryomek figs and Eureka Planet of the Apes figs for Fubar or something else.

The Angry Piper24 Jan 2017 7:01 a.m. PST

Super Mission Force (still in playtest) for Supers and loving it.

Trying to rekindle my interest in No More Room in Hell for zombies.

Even though I only play the boardgame, does Imperial Assault count?

leg1on27 Jan 2017 1:24 p.m. PST

Mutants and Death Ray Guns with figs from everybody.

Codsticker29 Jan 2017 12:23 a.m. PST

I wasn't planning to play anymore 28mm SciFi but then I played a game of 40k and then went and bought Beyond the Gates of Antares. So….

Tim White30 Jan 2017 2:19 p.m. PST

Infinity.

Capt Flash04 Feb 2017 7:30 a.m. PST

Heh! Codsticker- is it being played by any of your locals?
I think the current 40K rules aren't bad, but unfortunately some jerk stole my rulebook when I forgot it at the local store. There are a number of newer players in the league, so who knows?
Infinity has a very small player base who are a rather closed group. They don't look to invite other players…
I played a game of Inquisitor in 54mm last night using 1st edition Warzone. Went well…. for my opponent, lol!

swammeyjoe10 Mar 2017 10:00 p.m. PST

I have a wide variety of figures, lots of WotC Star Wars, Mars Attacks, Sedition Wars (which I use for Mass Effect and The Expanse games), Halo, 40k Space Marines, and a few others.

I mostly play a heavily house ruled version of Mars Attacks (if you add enough bits from Deadzone it really becomes a kitchen sink SF game). The dynamic between Martians and Humans is a perfect match for Stormtroopers vs Rebels.

tkdguy11 Mar 2017 12:38 a.m. PST

A version of the Star Wars miniatures battles, modified to fit my science fantasy campaign.

tkdguy12 Mar 2017 12:54 a.m. PST

Also, a game called Duel Blade, used for my Highlander game.
