Has anyone worked out a North Korean Team Yankee force? I have some painted modern North Koreans and I would like to use them as a force.

Wasn't aware that the Norks did mechanized infantry, so that might be a bit tricky to point.

Otherwise, I'd raid the East German list for unit cards: T55s (and clones).

I think the East German clone thing might work. BTR-50 and some old ww2 stuff. I think you could have fun with the North Koreans, All there stuff is secret so who knows. I see the best furture fot Team Yankee is in build your own army mix and match. Not what Battle Front planned but who cares.

East Germans with higher morale.
Maybe raise the cost of their tanks a tiny bit, since by the 80's, I think their stuff was in pretty bad shape.

Lion, I wouldn't call them "mechanized infantry." I was studying them for 2000s and found that they have some "motorized infantry" with BTR 60s and I believe they have lots of "straight leg" infantry. Even in the 2000s most of their "front line" tank units were equipped with T-62s.

So, I am guessing that not much has changed since the time period since they have probably received LESS support since the fall of the Berlin Wall and have become even more isolated.

Cosmic and Weasel, I think you are probably right. East German infantry with 'fanatical' morale.

I counted last night and I have 40 painted NKA infantry armed with AKs, RPKs and RPGs. Right now I am thinking of a force with platoons of motorized infantry with a T-59 tank platoon in support that has managed to side step the American and ROK forces and is driving towards the suburbs of Seoul.

Anyone have lists for African nations troops? 1960s or later?

Lion in the Stars18 Dec 2016 12:40 p.m. PST

I was meaning that I haven't seen any motorized or foot infantry units in Team Yankee.

Ah..I see. I might borrow some rules from Flames of War Vietnam as well.

I was just hoping that someone here had already done all the heavy lifting : )

I am modeling the 1980s NKPA after the North Vietnamese lists from Flames of War. From what I can see from the NKPA organization charts, that should be about right. I will add an anti-tank platoon at the battalion level with SAGGERs.

It looks like the RPGs will go into the platoons as they do for the North Vietnamese versus the RPG teams that the Soviets use in Team Yankee.

I was thinking the exact same thing considering its "North Korea".

That seems like a pretty good idea, considering they, as far as we know/knew were still using T-62s. That would probably be your best 'resource at hand', at least for now.
