Been there. It's a great largely unspoiled battlefield. We went in the middle of summer and it wasn't crowded at all. We stayed at a nice B&B in the town. The weird thing is the locals are barely aware that right next door is an ACW battlefield. You would think the local businesses would be playing it up. Instead they put on some sort of outdoor play every year, that they say is thier big draw. We came to see the battlefield and never heard of their play. I highly recommend touring the battlefield. |
