And in a moment of insanity, I offed up this 1809 based parody of "A Christmas Song" in the comments: Korsehuts roasting on an open fire, Jagers sniping at your nose. cowhide belts being blackened by a dyer, und Volk dressed up with dark green bows! Everybody knows some Schnaps concealed in your portmanteau helps to make your spirits light Kanoniere with their matches all aglow may make it hard to sleep tonight! They know that Boney's on his way For the invasion of Bayern they're gonna pay and every mother's child don't wanna die so like good Kaiserlicks, they're gonna fly! And so I'm offering this simple phrase for Regiments numbers 1 to 92 Although it's been shouted, many times, even crazed - Vive l' Empereur! Vive l' Empereur! Vive l Empereur, to you! (Warped, I know!) |

Gonsalvo, warped indeed…but in a good way. I like these jägers, although I base my 28mm in more open order. |

Peter, well done! Yes warped in a good way. My light troops are based more open as well, with less fall colors on the ground. |

Every drawing, painting or painted figure I've seen of the Austrian Jagers shows them with dark green facing colors on collars and cuffs. Was that true of all of the battalions or did some have different colors? |
