Just been sent two pics of the newly released Gringos40 Junot………….. all nicely completed and painted and, must say, I am impressed by the modelling, the painting and especially the photography. I gather that he does come in a few sections which should allow some individual variation. Cannot help but think that, when I get my hands on one, he might even end up as something totally different yet! Looks great like this though

Gringo40s stuff is always great. I have stopped at his stand at shows over the last few years and admired his figures. Even though I can't use any of them at the moment I am still tempted each time to buy something! |

I am sure I would admire his figure too, but I have never even met him face to face……….and Mrs F might get a shock, especially as we celebrated 25 years married two days ago. (The price of Cocktails in the London Ritz……..eek…..superb venue though!) Not yet seen Junot "in the flesh" (a lead mountain to work on still) but I think this may be his best yet. The horse is superb and the figure proportions ideal. I thought the Polish Drummer would take some beating…. |

It is a beautiful figure, as are the Lithuanian Tartars and Gendarmes I purchased in the same order! Tally Ho! |

" I thought the Polish Drummer would take some beating…." What are you doing, trying to beat a Polish drummer? |

Drummers get a hard time. Just a selection from many a gag Q; What did the Polish drummer get on his I.Q. Test? A: Saliva. Q: What's the similarity between a drummer and a philosopher? A: They both perceive time as an abstract concept. Q: What is the difference between a kettle drummer and a vacuum cleaner? A: You have to plug one of them in before it sucks. Q; What do you do if you see another bloody drummer playing around before your front line? A: Stop laughing and shoot again. |
