My Austrian army is Old Glory 15's. I have been doing a bit of searching for Grenzers and have not had much luck. Is Eureka the only ones that make them? If so do they look ok next to OG 15's?

Mine are Essex. I don't know how they would go with OG, but other posters have indicated that they are ok in the same army if not the same unit.

Minifigs and Irregular also do them – not sure how they match in with OG

Pandours = Grenz in this period

Aren't the Old Glory Austrian Grenzers listed as Pandours? link I haven't seen the figures so I'm not sure.

I think you could also use Russian Pandours. Minifigs make them but I don't know how they look alongside Old Glory.

Edit: Green Tiger and de Ligne beat me to it!

Ok so Pandours it is. If they (OG) had pictures on their site of everything it would be really easy to tell what they were. Thanks all!

I have loads of the old Glory 15s.
They are nice.

Thanks for the pictures James! Your stuff looks great BTW. That is all I needed to see. I had Googled Austrian Pandours and got an image that did not look like a Grenzer, but that is the figure I am looking for!

Very nice painting, but would they really have had their bayonets fixed while skirmishing?

HangarFlying16 Dec 2016 7:13 a.m. PST

Are they in close proximity to the enemy with possibility of contact?

Jamesonsafari17 Dec 2016 10:02 a.m. PST

Meh. That's the way they came. My Grenzers usually do end up defending themselves from Prussian attacks.

Glad I could help stosstruppen
