Anyone have any Russian sources for Soviet Cold War Front and particularly Army level organisation.

I have the US fm100 etc but am looking for Russian sources.

Usmank can you help ?

One of the best sources is David Isby's "Weapons and Tactics of the Soviet Army". Its not Russian in origin but it covers the entire structure and equipment of the Soviet Army in a very comprehensive manner. But it is pricey ($140.00!)

Interesting links – thanks Jekinder6.

I have both editions of Isby's book, plus the Feskov and "Tomsk" books, as well masses of English language publications from the West.

What I'm hoping to do is find something from Russian sources on the organisation above Divisional level; ie Army, and Front, to compare with the FM100 published by the US Army, and also to match what I know of GSFG / WGF. Most sources are good for Division and below, but there's very little at Army level except for listing the main combat elements.

I have a huge amount of data on GSFG but it would be useful to match some of that with fine detail and roles for the hundreds of units I've identified and noted.
