How do you tell your units apart? I in 15mm have numbers or letter designation

I can tell the casting and facing colors. Honestly, I try to follow historical formations and units. But, at the end of the day I plan on playing solo on my little 4x3 foot table. So if there is an error, I probably wont know any better or if I did I probably don't care.

For game time though, I plan on the old school tape underneath and folded paper with the unit name. I do have a nice program however that has a national flag and a space for unit information. Kind of like my old 15mm Rank and File marking method which you can see in my earliest blog entries.
