"Demons in 30k?" Topic

So I just recently stumbled across the 30k rules and minis to my present surprise.

I only own the HH Betrayal (book 1) so far so I've got a question as to any rules pertaining to demons in the later books.

Question(s) being, can demons (beside Samus) be taken as units in or allies to a Warp Cult army?

If yes, are the rules covered in one of the black books or the red ones?

They aren't in either of the Red Legion Astartes books, if that is any help.

Ok, so I guess that leaves HH book 5 under the Cult list potentially.

Surely they would be in the book that covers the battle at Calth as it states demons were involved there.

The Word Bearers have access to Malefic Daemonology (conjuring daemons galore), and their unique Rite of War allows them to ally with daemons via Codex Chaos Daemons.

I saw a post on Bolter & Chainsword that stated that "Malefic Daemonology is also available to Warp Cult Rogue Psykers" which would satisfy my needs.

No, you could definitely just get volume 1 and play with that. Yeah, you wouldn't have stats for everything, but that is a little like buying a WWII system that comes with Americans, Germans, and Russians, and complaining that it doesn't also come with comprehensive Italian, Romanian, French, and Japanese lists. :)
