Any help with the carriage colours of any of the participants, however minor, would be appreciated. My uniform book is silent on the matter so I've scouted around the internet with not much success. |

All I have on the subject are the older Editions Brokaw booklets, which may have been superseded, but for what it's worth, they list: France--red,iron parts black, barrels usually bronze. England--red Dutch--"probably blue" Palatinate--natural wood with black iron parts. Wagons, interestingly, red and white or blue and white stripes,"on which the Elector's or proprietor's coat of arms were often painted". That would make for a colorful supply train! Just to confuse things, here's a short exchange: TMP link And here's another: TMP link More: TMP link And: TMP link And: TMP link Hope some of that helps. |

Thanks very much for your help. I will definitely paint some Palatinate wagons! The Saxon guns would look brilliant on the table! |

It seems that Gun Carriage colors, although very important, are awfully neglected. |
