Nice! These are works of art, I just painted these guys up in 6mm this weekend and now feel inadequate.

Good work!

Very impressive painting skills!

May I ask why you use two different base sizes?

Axebreaker12 Dec 2016 10:15 a.m. PST

Thank you very much Gents!

@DinOfBattle

I do not use different base sizes for all my units, but some I do and the reason is rule sets for example in Black Powder I can take all 4 bases for a regular unit, 3x 4 man bases for a small unit and one 6 man base for a tiny unit and in British Grenadier there are several units that are 18 figures per unit.

Good looking – like the buff and green

Brilliant painting, Christopher. Are you going to paint up the mounted contingent now? I do like this uniform; I did mine in the purple, but that looks a bit odd..

Thank you guys.

@Giles

Thank you and I've already painted up the mounted version which looks the same as the foot as I liked the color combination.

On my blog you can see both.

Nice. I like the buff uniforms almost as much as I like the lavender leisure suits. grin

As for different size bases, there are many good rules out there. It makes sense to maximize the utility of your own system.
I have two systems. One is individually based on washers.
My other system has 3 figures on 1" x 2" bases. I can use them in one rank or two, depending on the rules. I also have 1" x 2" magnetic bases in case I want to use the washer based figures in a larger game.
I find these two systems give me maximum flexibility, particularly since I supply both sides.

Thanks and while I find the purple uniform intriguing I couldn't pull the trigger on that as it would stand out too much in my collection for comfort.:-)
