I just finished rebasing about one third of my 15mm artillery. Since many are 20-25 years old, I decided to remove the paint and repaint them. I had them based for Johnny Reb 2, which calls for removable gunners since they can abandon their cannon. This makes it convenient to paint the cannon, and be able to switch out Union or Confederate figures to make whatever batteries I might need for a scenario. I only slightly repainted or fixed up the limbers. Since they are only used to transport the guns around, I decided not to invest the time and effort to wash and drybrush them.

All the figures are Old Glory. All the guns are Stone Mountain. There are 12-pdr Napoleons, 3" Ordnance Rifles, 10-pdr Parrots, 6-pdr smoothbores (or 6-pdr/Type 1 James Rifles), 12-pdr Howitzers, 14-pdr Type 2 James Rifles, and 20-pdr Parrots. The brass guns were painted with Alclad, a paint used by plastic aircraft modelers to get a realistic metal finish. The iron guns were satin black. Carriages and limbers are Vallejo 924 Russian Uniform WWII, which I think makes a nice olive green.

The guns and limbers are mounted with a small space left blank where I can put a unit designation with labels cut so size.

Well done. I've always adored thenStone Mountain guns. Without a doubt the finest 15mm artillery ever made.

Great work, especially in 15mm!

Very nice, I've always thought that the Stone Mountain guns were the best in 15mm and can hold their own against any scale. Too many companies miss the subtle curve of a 3 inch ordnance rifle's barrel.

Great figures and a very nice paint job, especially on the barrels.
