"In WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. Sounds like a lot of monkey business. My guess is that the "epic final battle" will end up aping the "epic final battles" in other movies, much the same way that pirate movies tend to parrot one another. I'm afraid this movie will be a real dog.

I so enjoyed all the Planet of the Apes movies/shows and books when I was a kid. I remember seeing a special on the make-up and prosthetics for the films and thought Roddy McDowall was an acting genius.

enjoyed the first two, this looks like it will be enjoyable enough, then only two more to re-make :-)

Obviously an all-out effort to sell more popcorn…the only reason I go to the cinema since they abandoned the great balcony idea.

I grew up during the original movie series and remember waiting for each new film to come out. This new series isn't too bad, especially compared to some of the other drivel that counts for franchises and series. Haven't paid to go to the theater for it but have watched the installments once released for home viewing.

There is only one and it has Charlton Heston in it.

Call me a BOF if you like.

I've seen and liked the remakes. I'll see this one too and probably enjoy it. The originals are great, but they CAN be improved on!

I'm definitely in for this one. The new series is fine. Not sure what all the hate is outside of people holding on to nostalgia…

Have not seen the first two and will not be watching this one either.
